The Power of a 6 Month Check-In: Keeping Your Studio Smooth and Scalable
Six months after putting new systems in place, I caught up with “Elle”, an interior designer I worked with across every stage of my Roadmap. We had gradually implemented a full suite of changes - from digital organisation and simplified processes to better tools for team comms and client experience.
This time, our consultation call wasn’t about starting from scratch. It was about checking in, seeing what’s changed, and making sure her setup still fits appropriately for how her studio works today. We were excited to uncover three new focus areas and two huge wins from the initial implementation.
Here is what came up in Elle’s 6-month review:
Her long-time, go-to sidekick was stepping away and a new designer was joining the team. The question arose; how do we make that handover seamless?
She wanted to reduce unnecessary emails and give her team clear visibility of weekly tasks, hours and progress - without extra chasing or admin.
We identified that a simplified task management setup would best serve her team, one that didn’t rely on a single person knowing it all.
WIN #1! Cashflow felt easier. Clients were paying upfront with no hesitation - something she’d once been nervous about.
WIN #2! Most importantly, she finally felt like she could step back when needed, without everything falling apart.
This is exactly why regular check-ins are so powerful.
Even when your systems are strong, life and business continue to evolve. People leave. Priorities shift. New tools emerge. A quick check-in lets us review what’s working, adjust what’s not, and make sure your studio keeps running smoothly in the background.
Systems implementation isn’t a “set and forget” thing — it’s a rhythm. A simple way to keep things working as your business evolves.
What could this look like in your interior design studio?
Maybe you’ve got a trusted team member going on leave and need to train someone new.
Or your client-facing tools are running smoothly, but the backend still feels clunky.
Perhaps you just want to feel like you could take a holiday without needing to check your inbox hourly.
Wherever you’re at, we can work in small blocks of time to build or tweak exactly what you need. No overwhelm. No pressure to overhaul everything at once. Just flexible, strategic support when you need it most.
Getting the right support at the right time doesn’t need to be complicated.
Once we’ve worked together, it’s easy to jump back in for quick, focused sessions. You don’t need a big project. You don’t need to get “ready”. Just book a time, chat through what’s come up, and I’ll take it from there.
